Bossa Nova is the name of a Brazilian music style originated in the 50's in Rio de Janeiro derived from samba and deeply influenced by Jazz. It became one of the most influencial movements in Brazilian music history with Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Morais and João Gilberto as its most important artists.
