Ivy Lemos Trio

Latin jazz full of swaying bossa novas and sambas.

Brazilian singer Ivy Lemos was born in Castanhal as an Indigenous, African and Portuguese descendant. Her multicultural background and passion for world music are reflected in her Latin trio, in which she is accompanied by Armand van Wijck on chromatic harmonica and Panagiotis Gourdoupis on guitar. They also take their South American influences with them to the sparkling and dreamy Latin jazz they have been playing together since 2015; full of swaying bossa novas, sambas, choros, forrós and Cuban jazz themes. Music full of warmth, security, exuberance and connection!

For the concerts, Ivy chooses the most beautiful repertoire that Brazil has produced. The match between her clean voice and the songs of Jobim, Powell, Bosco and De Moraes, among others, evokes a feeling of modest exuberance.
