Ivy Lemos Quartet
These four musicians come from two parts of the world: South America and Europe, that's where they get their inspiration from.
Strongly influenced by Jazz and Latin Music, they bring a Brazilian repertoire of sultry bossa novas and speed sambas, in which there is also a lot of room for improvisation. The quartet consists of four experienced musicians Ivy (vocals), Panagiotis (guitar), José (bass) and Christian (drums) who have found each other in the Netherlands.
Ivy Lemos is born in the north of Brazil where she studied and worked with regional Brazilian Music, she lived in São Paulo and since 2008 she lives in The Netherlands where she graduated in Latin Music by the Conservatorium of Rotterdam.
Panagiotis Gourdoupis is born in Greece where he studied Classic Guitar taking his classical guitar diploma in Philippos Nakas Conservatory. In 2017 he moved to The Netherlands to continue his studies obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Music (Jazz&Pop guitar) – HKU Utrechts Conservatorium.
José Santibañez is born in Santiago (Chile). after spending a year in the UK he moved to Bilbao (Spain) to stud with Joshua Edelman. In 2017 he moved to Amsterdam where he obtained his Master degree in Jazz Music at the Conservatorium of Amsterdam.
Christian Palmieri is born in Paraguay. In 2008 he moved to The Netherlands to study with Marco Zondervand and Joost Lijbaard and got accepted to follow the Jazz & Pop Bachelor studies in the prestigious conservatory of music HKU of Utrecht where he studied with Joost Kesselar and Andre Groen and obtained his Bachelor degree.
